"It never comes easy, not because of the building, though, but because of Eddie Sutton's teams and the way they play. It didn't come easy today, but I was really, really proud of our team.

"We've got a 13-point lead at the half, and they come out and make three or four three-pointers early in the second half. But we kept our poise and kept getting something at the other end ourselves. Then they threw one that bounced off a guy's shoulder and goes in the basket. We turn it over at the other end. Then they go back down and cut it to four. We even missed a couple of free throws, but then Kenny stepped up. I think that was the biggest one. I had a substitute at the scorer's table for him, and I almost called a 20-second timeout and decided not to. Then when he got fouled I said, 'Well, it's time he decided to step up and be a player for us.' I had gotten on Kenny earlier because he'd dropped his head one time when he turned it over. And I said, 'You're too good to do that.' But he knocked those big ones (free throws) in, and then Paul knocked two big ones in, and Raef kept getting some rebounds for us.

"We didn't do a very good job of going to Raef in the first half. He held the ball too long and didn't make the best moves in the world, anyway. I think he was two for eight at the half. But we did want to go in to him at the end, and hopefully he would find somebody. He found Paul wide open for three on a cross-court pass one time, but Paul missed it. But I said we've still got to keep trying to do those things.

"They were putting so much attention on Raef. Every time he got it in the low post they tried to double-team him. And they tried to double-team Paul in the low post. It really gave Ryan, particularly, some open shots. And it also opened up T.J., because they were usually double-teaming with his guy, and he found some open seams in there and we got the basketball to him.

"If you've got an opportunity to play a college basketball game, let's go out and play and play well. And I was pleased with our kids. We've been beat up the last few days. Raef hurt his shoulder in the game Monday night (83-70 victory over OU) and wasn't able to practice full speed this week. Billy's groin bothered him. We kept both of them out of practice for about three days. You always feel better on game day. You've got to understand that. But we got good play from them."
