"Our guys were great. They played with energy, poise, toughness, and confidence. It was like the way we envisioned us looking. We executed great against the zone and got off to a great start. We bailed them out by shooting too many long shots early. We felt we could have gotten a great shot each possession if we were just a little bit patient. Everybody who was in the game contributed, and I’m really pleased. But this is only half the weekend. We’ve got the big rival coming in on Monday, and we’ve got to stay hungry.

"This was the best we’ve played. We went man and we got what we wanted, and when they went man we got what we wanted out of a couple of different modes, and we defended well the entire game. When you look at how they scored their points, it was basically off of one-on-one, get it in the paint and try to shoot over us. But that’s going to happen when you play man and you don’t have real tall guards in some spots. Gibson is terrific, but we really did a good job on their big guys, doubling down, and we did a pretty good job on ball screens, too.

"(Points off of turnovers) is something we haven’t been doing, especially away from home. We’ve got to run off our defense. Villanova was a bad match-up game for us because of personnel. This was a better one because they play two big guys. We weren’t as bad as we were against Villanova, and we probably weren’t as good as we looked tonight because it fit us a little better throughout the game. But the guys executed really well on both ends.

"Moo played the best per second of anybody in the game. He only played like 20 seconds the first half, and he made a five-point play. He takes the charge on a made basket, so you wipe that out, and then we get the three on the other end. And Sasha’s coming. And the seniors were great. Mike’s best game he’s had in a while. Aaron was great. And of course Wayne and Keith looked like All-Americans out there tonight.

"Aaron competed hard. I thought he made the best play he’s made all year in transition when he kind of broke it off, went between his legs, and threw the lob over the top there in the second half. That’s about as good as it gets.

"They push it at you real hard, and they’ve got perimeter shooters. Tonight they were 4-23 from three, and they’re shooting 41% for the year. They missed some, but they didn’t get many good looks. We did a real good job defending them.

"The crowd is always sensational. Just like players, crowds get more amped up for some games. But I’m sure our crowd gave a lot of America and hopefully some future recruits something to really think about tonight, because they were awesome as always."
