"Seventy-four to seventy-two, I think, was their Missouri score. I watched the tape today when they played Texas the last time, and with 13 minutes to go in the game it's a three point game. They miss a three that would have tied it, and then missed about 15 in a row during that stretch. We didn't have any dry spells from them, because they kept competing. You look at their record, and you'd think they'd come in and heard all these things about Allen Fieldhouse, and you'd think they wouldn't play as hard as they did. They gave us problems. Their zone was very active. And we threw it to them, and they caught it a few times when we were on offense and they were on defense. But give them credit.

"We didn't do the things we wanted to do. We didn't play as hard as we wanted to play. We made some shots early. Then all of a sudden we hit a dry spell the last part of the first half and the first part of the second half. Then we had a couple of good defensive stops. Kenny got a breakaway and got a dunk, and I think Kenny had two offensive rebounds for baskets during that stretch, too. I think Eric Chenowith made a big basket for us during that stretch, as well. He's been frustrated lately, to say the least. He's been struggling. But he got a basket and made the free throw for us, and from that point we stretched it out a little bit. But they didn't quit, and Dave's (Bliss, BU coach) going to do a heck of a job there.

"We got a little tougher with the ball (following a rash of turnovers early in the second half). If we did get it inside, we'd lose it. Or Jeff and Kirk struggled trying to pass it around on the perimeter against their zone. We had a couple of set plays that guys just forgot for some reason, and didn't screen people they were supposed to screen. That happened on two different occasions. I don't think the kids were as fired up and as motivated tonight as they should have been. You can say they were looking forward to having an opportunity to play Texas, or you can say anything you want. But the bottom line is that Baylor was more aggressive for a huge part of the game, and we were very fortunate to win.

"We knew Stukes was gonna make some shots, and we tried to make sure he shot a bad percentage. But I think he made his first three shots. Seven for 24. He's very difficult to guard. He has quickness. He can put the ball on the floor. He can take it to the basket. He can shoot from deep range. He made one three right in front of our bench in the first half that was six or seven feet behind the line. He's tough to guard. Five for 15 from the three-point line. And Minor's difficult to guard. Minor and Black were hard for us to control, trying to take the ball to the basket against us.

"There's still a lot to play for. You've got another game on your schedule, and you're supposed to do the best you can regardless of what happens. We've got a little streak going here that could turn into a big streak if we play well on Monday night."
