"Needless to say, I think you could say it was a pretty ugly game. We shoot 39% and are still able to win. That says something about the toughness of our team.

"It's like a MASH unit in the locker room. It's very difficult for us right now without Billy, and Raef feels like he's about half a player out there. Two weeks ago we took two straight days off, trying to see if that would help. This week we took two days off and took another day when we almost did nothing. We're just having a tough time healing right now.

"Our defense was able to step up and make some plays. We rebounded the basketball better in the second half. I got really disappointed with the five starters in there, because things we talked about in the locker room in the pre-game and last night and this morning in our scouting report, we were failing to do those things. So I took those five guys out and put in five new guys, and I really loved the enthusiasm that those five guys had. We missed a dunk and missed a couple of free throws, or we might even have been ahead while they were in. But I think that time got the other guys focused a little better, and we were able to go out and perform better after that.

"Everybody's feeling a little bit down right now, even though we still won. We've got to understand that in tournament play you've got to say alive, and so far we're alive and get a chance tomorrow to come back and play somebody else."
