"It was a great night. I wanted those three seniors--C.B., Billy, and Raef--to go out the right way. And the right way with me is to win and to go through their four-year career without losing a game in the Fieldhouse. I was probably more uptight for this game today than any game all year, for sure. I really wanted to make sure that we were attentive. I didn't want us to have a lapse because we'd already sewed up the conference title. But the kids played their tails off.

"I told the kids at halftime, I wasn't concerned with what the score was at one point. I was concerned about how we were playing. And I wanted us to go out and play really well in the second half, and play better than we did in the first half, do a better job on the backboards. And I thought for the most part we did that. But I have to give Oklahoma a lot of credit for being able to come in here and withstand that type of atmosphere and still play as well as they played.

"(Paul Pierce's second half explosion, 15 straight points) was an unbelievable exhibition, but he has that capability. He's been shooting the ball so poorly the last six or seven games, I knew he was going to have a breakout game. I told him at halftime, he had to start playing, because at half he had zero rebounds and five tournovers. Needless to say, he took care of what I asked him to do by playing his tail off in the second half. I think Paul took it personally that I asked the underclassmen to make sure the seniors went out the right way, and I think he took that load on his shoulders."
