Congratulate them. They were much more aggressive than we were. They get 34 free throws, and we had 15, and that in itself says they were much more aggressive in getting the ball to the basket. They played zone, and we were so content to pass it around the perimeter. We got no inside game whatsoever tonight. We got five baskets out of our starting four and five made out of 17 attempts, and that made us even more tentative, so now we start shooting three-point shots all the time.

"There were so many things. There's nothing that we did on the offensive end of the floor that was very effective for us at all. I thought defensively in the first half we really did some nice things. We were playing extremely hard. They didn't shoot a good percentage. But they kept shooting and missing and getting the rebound and shooting and missing and getting the rebound, shooting and missing and finally putting it in. They had 15 points from offensive rebounds in the first half, so it was a breakdown on the backboards on the defensive end. Other than that we were pretty good defensively, and then on the offensive end we did absolutely nothing.

"The first half, we were four for 16 from our post players. I'm not blaming them, but when you get the ball three feet from the basket, you've got to be able to score, and we had no inside threat whatsoever. They got out further on Billy and further on Paul. Billy didn't shoot it well, Paul didn't shoot it well, Ryan didn't shoot it well, and you add all that up and that gets your tail beat.

"Defensively, othter than giving them 15 points on offensive rebounds, we were okay. Now in the second half, we made some silly fouls and gambled a little bit too much. They shoot 62 percent. Som of that is down the streetch when we were out gambling and things. but it was also the kind of night where they shoot one with the shot clock running down, it's an air ball, and a guy catches it and lays it up as the shot clock is going off. They make a 30-footer as the shot clock is about to go off. But it was their night, and they played a lot better than we did.

"The crowd was effective. I don't know that the day off helped them, or that three days in a row hurt us. But we weren't as sharp. The reason for that, I guess, is three days in a row, but we just didn't play well. And on the offensive end, we've go to have much better movement than we did tonight. Everybody's standing around, either wiating for Paul to make a one-on-one move or everybody's waiting for Billy to make a shot, and the other three guys are standing there looking.

"If you're thinking about the record (16-2), you'd have to say that's fine, but I want us to play better. I really thought we'd be fired up and enthused to play in front of this crowd, and that we'd really be focused. But we even messed up a switch on a free throw and they throw it the length of the court, and we ended up having to foul. Those are the things we started doing over the first day of the season."
