"“We had total control of the game. The second half we didn’t play as bad as they played better and we missed shots, but they just killed us on the glass. Our guys aren’t rebounding the ball at all, aren’t being aggressive, and if you take Dub out of the mix, who really rebounded the ball well.... But I was proud of our guys. We hung in there. We really executed well, and scoring 76 points in a game in which we shot the ball miserably.... We got a lot of open looks. But our first shot defense was excellent and we took care of the ball for the most part. I just thought we ’d have a let-down emotionally, and I think we did a little bit, but we were able to tough it out.

"Keith had labored, for the most part, the entire game. But when they cut it to one, that’s when he made some plays. I think he had a three-point play on another tough drive and shot, and he made a three, and the next thing you know we’re up, not comfortable, but up eight or whatever it was. I thought we did some good things. I thought we executed well in spurts, and I thought our bench was great. I thought Russell was great. I thought Sasha was terrific, but just didn’t rebound it. I thought Darnell gave us great minutes. And I thought Christian was awesome playing on one leg. CJ had a 104 fever yesterday. We could have played him, but I didn’t think he was going to be effective, and Alex wasn’t effective, so we definitely needed Christian to come through.

"(Christian) is tough. I wish we could have played him in Ames, but the doc said it’s not bad for him to get out there and play on a bad ankle and work some of the stiffness out. He’s not going to be 100% for a while, but he had to play today to give us the best chance to win.

"(Playing Miles and Robinson together) probably needs to happen more so Keith and JR don’t play as many minutes. Mike I thought played really well the first half, then I really didn’t give him that much of a chance to play in the second half. I didn’t think he was as good in the second half, so we went with Russell, and Russell kind of sparked us. He made his free throws, and the next thing you know we’ve extended the lead, so I just played those four perimeter players the last eight minutes or so and rotated them. But that’s a lot of different guys playing minutes today, and with the altitude and our health situation, I’m pretty glad we had numbers.

"(Aaron) talks about all these hops he’s got, and he had the perfect opportunity to show them off (on his missed dunk). Russell gave him a good pass and set him up perfectly, but he’s got old man legs now. Back in the day he maybe could have got it, but I don’t know if he’s capable of doing that anymore." (Sarcasm)
