"We won, and that is good because that’s as poorly as we can play. We got whipped physically at at least four spots. But somehow we pieced it together and won. I really don’t know how we won, to be honest with you. JR making some shots and some guys stepping up and making some plays. Keith bailed us out in the first half to get us going in with the lead. But that was a very poor exhibition of basketball, and we didn’t play well down the stretch, and we didn’t play smart. You can handle not playing well if you play smart, but it looked like we were playing with five freshmen out there at the end, and that’s ridiculous.

"Aaron played great. He also made a big, big shot. The only bad decision I can remember Aaron making was when he was dog tired and tried to drive in there and make a great play when he had no energy. But he played well. And, of course, Keith was 7-8 from the field, and getting 21 points in 26 minutes. But how we handled pressure late was very disturbing. We looked like a team that had never been pressured before. So we’ve got a lot of things to work on to get better. I’m not mad at effort, because I thought effort was probably pretty good. But this is as upset as I’ve been at a group for not doing what they’re supposed to do.

"We’ll have David back against Richmond, hopefully for a few minutes, and he’ll certainly help. Jeff has stepped in a played well, but Jeff Graves played 30 minutes and got zero rebounds, and Wayne didn’t rebound the ball like he’s capable of rebounding it.”
