"Villanova is good. When Jason Fraser gets healthy, that’s probably as talented a team as we’ve played, and certainly they’re the best perimeter team we’ve played this year. They’re very explosive offensively. We did a good job of getting the ball inside and getting some easy baskets and things like that. But they’re so quick off the floor. We didn’t rebound the ball well, and we didn’t play particularly smart down the stretch, except in a couple of situations. But it was a great win. I screwed the game up because I had a five man guarding Sumpter in the first half because I didn’t want Dub to get his next foul, so he scores ten straight to get it back to even. But the second half we came out and really executed early and took control of the game.

"I thought their whole team was good, and they’re so good off the bounce. Without stereotyping players, New York City guards shake you down and beat you off the bounce. But the difference was these guys could shoot. I give coach Roberts a hard time because he’s from New York, and everybody from New York has a lot of shake-‘n-bake to their game, but can they make shots? Well, these guys can definitely make shots. I thought they were well prepared, well coached, and we were fortunate to win.

"Three of our starters combined for seven rebounds, and one of them is Wayne. That’s not going to get it done. We’ve got to do a better job on the defensive glass, but I thought David and Jeff were terrific in that regard.

"Aaron has two fouls, and then he goes charge. I can live with a foul if it’s a good foul. And then his fourth one is fouling a three-point shooter from behind. Those are just plays you don’t make, and juniors shouldn’t make. But I will say I thought Aaron played his tail off, and he played the entire 20 minutes of the second half.

"Keith shooting 18 free throws as huge. And Wayne was 9-9. It’s one thing to shoot 85% if you go 9-11 or 10-12 or something. It’s another thing if you shoot 41 of them. And everybody stepped up and made them, and they were all important. We needed them all.

"Jeff (Hawkins) did some really good things. He did a lot of positive things. It’s frustrating with him, though, because he fouls. He just can’t keep his hands off anybody right now. The whole team’s got to do a better job in that area. But I thought Jeff was huge because when Aaron sat the last six or seven minutes of the first half, he came in and bailed us out, even though he didn’t finish the half right.

"I like the way we played. I thought we were in attack mode for the majority of the game. We did a good job of getting the ball inside on time. I thought we had a size advantage, and we exploited that. But I’ve go to tell you, if we don’t do things better and get better pretty fast, life on the road in the Big 12 is no picnic. You look at the stat line, and we’ve got some key players not getting any rebounds, and they get 18 offensive rebounds. That’s not going to get it done. Those are areas we can improve on, and those are things we’ve got to emphasize now more than ever because we can’t give teams extra possessions."
