"It's a true non-conference road game, and we're pleased about that. We made a lot of mistakes, and we've got to get a lot better. I was really impressed with Coach Wiel's club and how they just kept fighting and fighting and fighting. I think that's something that will serve them well as they go on down the line. Kenny Gregory was really something offensively in the first half. We didn't play very smart at times, but Kenny was great in the first half, and in the second half I thought Nick Bradford was sensational, being all over the floor and being more aggressive. In the first half, they were getting all the loose balls, and mostly in the second half, except for Nick Bradford. But it's a W, it's on the road, and I feel good about that, but we've got to play a lot better. I'd rather not say anything else about our team, but I really liked the way Randy's team fought.

(Gregory sets school record on 10-10 shooting to start the game) "I knew he was 9-9 at the half. I didn't remember him making the first one in the second half. Take away the free throws, and he really did have a fantastic day for us.

(Did Eric Chenowith play better today?) "Well, I think so. It's discouraging when you say something. Well, yes, I think so. I'll let it go at that.

"I think Jeff Carey probably gave us a better lift off the bench than we've gotten from any one single individual all year. I was a little discouraged about some of the mistakes we were making, and gave Jeff a chance, and he really came through. He's done that several times in the past, and I'm hoping he'll continue to do that.

"If you force turnovers, you're gonna be gambling more and you're gonna foul more, but we're doing way too much of that. I'm really concerned. We're gonna play somebody who's really pretty good Tuesday night (Michigan State), and if we play the way we played today, we have no chance."
