"We made a lot of mistakes down the stretch, but we did have some guys step up and get some big rebounds in traffic. We were just trying to piece it together. They play a funky zone/man, and we never really got into offense that much, but we made shots early then just kind of pieced it together. Christian makes a difference because he’s a guy we can run offense through and he’s a good post defender and rebounder. But CJ got six rebounds in 21 minutes and he did some good things. After we quit just letting their big guys whip us physically in the first ten minutes, we actually defended them pretty well, but then Stinson and Blalock got going. They’ve got a good team. They’re hard to guard, they’re great in transition, but fortunately for us we made enough free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

"We decided to bring Wayne along slowly, so we only played him 37 minutes. He said he felt fine, and his mom and dad and the doctors were all okay with it. He’s only practiced one day. He looked pretty good yesterday. He said he wanted to play, and I’m glad he did. We wouldn’t have won the game without him, no chance.

"We helped them so much. We missed some shots and we just threw the ball to them two or three times. We threw the ball to them for four points. It wasn’t defense; we just gave them points. They weren’t even pressuring us, we just panicked. But that’s what’s great about this team. We lead the whole game, then they get all the momentum and go on a 10-0 run, and the next thing you know, Langford sticks one from 17 feet, and that killed the momentum. That’s when we played our best ball, going from down two to up six. We’ve got a lot of things we can certainly improve on, but coming off that Kentucky game and our health situation, we had some guys play well and some guys not play very well. It’s just great to get here and get a victory.

"We’ve got to learn how to play with Wayne now. We kind of learned how to play without him, now we need to learn how to play with him again. One practice certainly didn’t get it done. I believe we’re going to get a lot better as CJ continues to mature and grow. Sasha didn’t play much. He had two turnovers in two minutes. I thought Darnell gave us some good minutes when he played in the second half, even though it was briefly. It wasn’t pretty, but it was a win.

"I told (Galindo) he’d better make (free throws down the stretch) after the shot he took. We’re up six and he shoots a deep three with 28 seconds on the shot clock. Just a bad, bad, bad decision. If it goes in, the game is over more than likely. He stepped up and made them, and Mike made them. The one disappointment from the free throw line, though he hasn’t shot them in a long time, our best free throw shooter (Simien) goes 2-6 or the game probably wouldn’t have been in doubt."
