"They played hard. Neil's doing a great job. That was a very competitive first half, especially. I thought both teams really got after it and played well. They made us pay. They shot the ball great the first ten minutes or so. But I thought we did some good things. I told our guys I feel better about our team tonight than I did against St. Joe's or Nevada just because I thought this was more of a real game. We haven't played unbelievably great yet, but one thing we've done -- every game we've finished. Against Vermont we're down four with four minutes left. Against Pacific, we finished that game, and then we finished this game tonight, so those are positive things. We still have too many careless errors, but I thought all and all, a pretty good performance.

"(Christian Moody) was good. And he's a good shooter. The thing about it is, they didn't guard him. They tried to use the same strategy as Pacific. And even when he shot it, he was hesitant to shoot it. He needs to just catch it and shoot it, because it helps the team because it stretches the defense. I thought he played well. And I thought CJ did some good things, too. He got five rebounds in 13 minutes. Russell did some good things off the bench. It was a good team win.

"Just so our fans know, Darnell got a concussion on Monday, and he hasn't been able to do anything this week. That was the reason he didn't play.

"I was pleased that Keith stayed in it. He's coming back. Everybody can attest to that. And JR played well. That looked like JR. And even with him scoring 13 points and going 5-12, he can shoot it better than that. But he just had a solid stat line. He played with a lot of energy. He and Keith are such a big key to our team when our wings play with energy like that.

"(Wayne Simien) played 36 minutes, but we subbed him around timeouts and stuff. He played 19 in the first half, and that's too many, but he said he was fine. Wayne felt good. I just know I feel a whole lot more comfortable when he's out there.

"Aaron has been so good. Tonight he was a little careless, but if our fans just studied Aaron and how hard he played... If everybody played as hard as Aaron Miles, man, would it be a fun team. It's a fun team anyway, but even when he's screwing up, he's going a hundred miles an hour. He had a bad cold, and that's why he didn't play as much in the second half. I'm getting more and more excited about these guys as we go."
