"We played super. I was so pleased with our execution offensively. Of course, it all looks good when you make shots. Defensively I think it was an average effort. But they’re a hard team to pressure because of their motion. And Emmett is a fabulous scorer. After they cut it to nine or seven early in the second half, then we really finished strong.

"At halftime we were up eight and had made basically a majority of our shots, so I figured they probably felt, 'Hey, they’re not gonna keep this up.' But in the second half we kept executing, and it sure is a fun game when you make shots.

"’Dub’s been struggling health wise. Yesterday he said he felt really, really bad, and he didn’t practice the day before. The Missouri game took a lot out of him physically with his groin. But he was terrific today. And Keith didn’t ever get in rhythm. We kinda played without him from an offensive standpoint. Although he was still a factor when he was in there, it wasn’t like he usually is. JR was great. Aaron had a typical Aaron game. But that’s the best offensive game David Padgett has had in a while. Of course, a lot of that is due to injury, but I’m really excited for him.

"I don’t think the intensity was comparable to Michigan State, but the execution was far better. This was kind of like a Colorado game at home. We grind out a game on Monday and win it, and then we’re able to outscore Tech today, so we’re finding different ways to win games. And you can’t say enough about our bench. Mike Lee coming in and doing good things. He played a ton of minutes. And the other guy is Jeff Graves. He played well, but he has the flu, so I didn’t play him as much. But Christian Moody, in his limited time he was terrific.

"We have put ourselves in a decent position, but now with Oklahoma State winning big in a place where we couldn’t, that really sets us up for a monster game in Stillwater on Monday.

"I think we have as great a tradition and as great a fan base as anywhere in America. But I do think that Allen (Fieldhouse) can certainly become much more visual. We don’t want to change Allen on the inside. But outside, there’s no reason we can’t have a class Hall of Fame and have a place for people to gather before and during games, and have recruiting areas that all coaches can utilize. And the big thing with me, you can modernize the field house and not change the look, and we can certainly do that. The ($12 million) gift is so generous, and the family has stepped out on a limb for us. Hopefully this will spearhead other money-raising efforts. And after this is finished, ten years from now it will still be modern."
