"The first half our assist to turnover ratio was 14:1. We did a great job taking care of the basketball. Our defensive pressure wasn’t tremendous by any means, but we were playing out of foul problems. It was one of those games when we didn’t force a lot of havoc defensively, but we did enough. I thought was showed some toughness. We played really well to start the second half. We go up 21: 60-39. If we just stay out of foul trouble and defensive rebound, the game is over then. But we didn’t and let them get back to within single digits. But overall, a great performance, and I’m really happy for our guys.

"Foul trouble put us in a hole. Jeff and David get two right off the bat. Then Christian comes in and he labored some. We just weren’t as fluid. But then we stepped up and made some shots. Wayne made a big 10-foot jump hook on a three-point play. And no matter what they did, we were able to keep them at arm’s length. For Aaron to make that shot (3pt) at the end of the half to go in up 11, that was a big play. Then we played the first eight minutes of the second half great. But we’ve still got to finish better. You get conservative, and that’s partly my fault. But they stayed in a zone, and if they’re gonna do that, you might as well run some clock. Then all you have to do is make some free throws to hang on, and we made just enough.

"Any time you can go into somebody’s building and win, it’s a great accomplishment. And there was some energy in here tonight. Their fans were into it, and our guys showed some toughness tonight.

"We did a good job in transition for a period of time. Late we didn’t. But guys are thinking going from defense to offense, which is really good, because we’re pretty good when we do that.

"We’re getting better, but we still need to work on defensive rebounding, and I don’t know if we can emphasize it more than we have. We have to do a better job on the glass. You look at Massey’s numbers. He got eight offensive rebounds in 23 minutes. If we eliminate those, then this team is making a lot of progress."
