"It was a heck of a basketball game. If you're sitting there and not really caring who wins the game, you had to enjoy the dickens out of that. They mades six threes in a row, and they weren't easy. But I loved what our guys did, stepping to the free throw line, making the points. And attacking their press a little bit instead of handling it in the backcourt and staying back there, we took it through. Sean got a hoop for us. BJ got a hoop for us when they were trying to make a run. It was a ten-point game, and they were trying to cut into it, and we made two straight layups against the press.

"They made a decision to stick with what they'd done all year long, which was press, and we've been really good against the press. They made an adjustment and put a double-team on Jacque even while the basketball was out of bounds. We tried to set a second screeen for him to get him loose in an open-court situation. We didn't shoot it as well. We missed a lot of open threes early in the game. And you think back, Greg Ostertag missed a dunk, Raef LaFrentz missed a dunk, BJ threw it out of bounds when he would have had a dunk, Scot was called for walking when he laid it up, and all that was against the press. But as long as you're not hurting the press, they should stay in it. I really congatulate Matt. I thought it was a good game plan, and their kids were tough and just kept competing.

"I'll tell you one thing. You've heard me say before there's no amount of money you can pay me to get rid of this feeling that I have right now. We did our little dance in the locker room. We acted like an idiot with the kids.

"And one more thing. Sean Pearson has really struggled. And he stepped up today and played and made some buckets, went to the free throw line and made some free throws. Sean and Jacque and Scot and Jerod made those down the stretch when we needed them."
