Season summary

"The fact they beat Tennessee really helped us. That made us take them much more seriously than perhaps we would have otherwise. At the same time, in watching the tape of that game, we were able to see Tennessee got some easy ones.

"I think we are a good shooting team. We hadn't shot it that well. Tonight we finally shot over 50% for the first time this year.

"We talked about having more pride in our defense and quit worrying about what people were saying about our own field goal percentage. Look what we're doing to other teams' perecentage. And I think we are doing some good things defensively.

"Derrick Hall had been averaging 23 a game and was shooting in 53% of his three-pointers. The best thing I could do is put Steve Woodberry on him. I know he did not have a good night, but Steve might have had something to do with it.

(On Patrick Richey) "At one of our individual meetings the other day, he said he was not feelling any pressure. He knew it was going to come. He said he'd stay patient, and they'd start falling in the bucket. He knew what he was talking about."
