"They were great. Oklahoma State the first half and Nebraska the second half – that’s about as well as we’ve had teams play against us in a long time. And I think we contributed to that, obviously. But they still have to make shots and make plays, and they did, and their defense was very good, as well.

"Nebraska’s three big guys are good, and they pretty much controlled the paint offensively on us. We really didn’t have much offense at all. David didn’t give us much on the block. We got the ball to the same spot that they got it, but they were able to make some plays and we weren’t. Even our hustle plays turned into points for the other team.

"Jeff Graves didn’t suit up for two reasons. #1 – there’s a Big 12 rule that says you can only suit up 15 players on the road, and based on performance and attitude and everything this past week, there’s no question he’s our 16th player. So even if he would have suited up, I wouldn’t have played him. And the other thing is, the red team is out there busting their butts every day; they’re out there fighting, and they deserve to put on the uniform. I didn’t feel like this particular week Jeff did.

"I don’t want to say that we didn’t try because there were some times when we did. We had control of the game early. We were up 12-6 or something like that, and they beat us on a couple of hustle plays and go off on an 11-0 run. If you make shots, great, and we missed shots. But a couple of those contributed to hustle points and that got the crowd into it. Then the kid I thought dominated the whole game was Charles Richardson. He totally neutralized Aaron and he controlled the ball the whole time. We couldn’t get our shoulders past him, and he made some plays when he had to make plays.

"I still believe you’ve got a core six, and then whoever is going well. But based on attitude and based on performance this week and over time, those guys (bench) certainly deserve a chance to play."
