"I think we started the game excellent. It wasn’t just 12-0, we had good ball and body movement, we made some good passes, and I thought we did some really good things. I thought the bench did some really good things, and then they got tired. When we subbed the starters back in, they really didn’t have their heads into it and didn’t really play very well at the end of the first half. Other than that, I thought we did fine. We rebounded the ball great, regardless of competition. We defended the first shot really well, but we’ve got to be able to make some shots. We’re 7-25 tonight from three, and made two of our last three. So you’re 5-22 with three or four minutes left in the game, and that’s just not gonna get it. We’ve got better shooters than what we’re shooting it. But we passed it better, we shared it better, and we’ll score easier when Dub’s back out there.

J.R. got a double-double, which is excellent. He turned down some looks. He used to be a guy who was always looking to shoot it when he’s open. Omar had a chance to play, and we’re going to start calling him Trigger. He came out firing, which was good. Jeremy, who has struggled, came out and scored eight points in the last four minutes. And Nick Bahe did some good things. And David Padgett was solid. He can play better, but I thought he was solid. We’re not going to get too excited about the win, but it was definitely a game in which we got better.

"I know there’s always a hangover from losing. And I know there’s always a hangover from playing Michigan State last week and Fort Hays State this week. And the weather stinks. And you walk out there, and there’s more than 15,000 people here. Those guys are unbelievable. And fans, we need you. We’re not playing quite as cohesive. It’s an adventure from time to time with this bunch, and it’s gonna be for a while. There’s some pretty important parts missing from last year’s bunch. But what a privilege it is to play here. This has got to be the best place in the world to play."
