6:30 PM CT The Crimson and Blue Show radio coverage begins, leading into Brian Hanni and Greg Gurley calling the game for the Jayhawk Radio Network on the kuleanplayer starting at 7:30 PM CT.

Everybody loves somebody sometime...

Well, it’s lonesome in this old town.
Everybody is putting us down.
We’re faces all full of pain
Since we lost in THE PHOG again…

And coming up it’s Houston,
Houston.
Houston.

It’s another KANSAS JAYHAWKS Men’s Basketball...

... Buh duh DUH duh DUH DUH duh duh duh duh DUH DUH DUH ... BALL NIGHT!

Monday at 8:00 PM CT on ESPN’s Big Monday, our AP14 KANSAS JAYHAWKS (20-7|10-4) once again host a Top 10 team in Allen Fieldhouse as the AP5 Houston Cougars (23-4|11-3) come to Mount Oread. KANSAS leads the series 6-5, but UH has won three straight of the 4 games played since joining the Big 12. And the Cougars are currently on a 2 game losing streak, having lost the first two of their 6 “Gauntlet” games, at ISU and at home against UA. They will be striving hard to break that still short string of Ls to keep alive their hopes for at least a share of a third straight Big 12 regular season title in just their third year in the conference.

ESPN's Matchup Predictor says KANSAS wins just 40% of the time (link). The spread is 2.5 points in favor of UH. Of note, when then AP#1 ranked UA came to town two weeks ago for ESPN’s Big Monday game the projections were almost identical. It’s Big Monday time again, and the story goes that Self’s Jayhawks have never lost on Big Monday in 40 (or is it 41?) previous Big Monday matchups. Here’s to history repeating itself and that goose egg still being in the L column at the end of this game!

asteroid’s game projections are not yet available as of post time. His Big 12 projections, Round 15 project a 69-70 KU home loss.

May that L never happen!

Here is the link to CorpusJayhawk’s Rock Chalk Challenge newsletter projection. The DPPI essentially predicts a toss-up, separated by just 0.4 points, with the slightest of edges to UH, essentially a rounded score of 69-70 UH. Of course Corpus is personally projecting a 1 point KU victory, 68-67. I definitely prefer the DPPI model to asteroid’s projection, and of course the Corpus personal prediction, don’t you?

41-0 Bill Self at KU on Big Monday in AFH!

Great gutsy game against UH.

AIn't it the Truth? AIn't it the Truth?

"All you really need is heart!"

And from that latter treasure trove, if whatever Lola wants, Lola gets,
here's hoping Lola wants a nice long winning streak for Bill's Boys in Crimson & Blue!
Not a particularly long one, just oh, say 13 wins in a row?

Yeah, THAT'S the ticket!

Oh, I'm gettin' old!

"Honey, I promise that one day I will grow up!"
