Iowa State down!
Baylor is in town!
Bears must go down, the Bears must go down!
Jayhawks played so well,
Giving the 'Clones hell!
Continue to fly high
Take the Bears down!
It's another KU MEN'S BASKETBALL...
... Buh duh DUH duh DUH DUH duh duh duh duh DUH DUH DUH ... BALL NIGHT!
After last Tuesday's imminently satisfying deliverance of the first loss of the season to the #2 Iowa State Cyclones in "THE PHOG ", our Kansas Jayhawks (12-5, 2-2) host Scott Drew's Baylor Bears (11-5, 1-3) Friday night.
7:00 PM CT on Fox (Play-by-play - Gus Johnson; analyst - Jim Jackson; reporter - Allison Williams)
6:30 PM CT The Crimson and Blue Show radio coverage begins, leading into Brian Hanni and Greg Gurley calling the game for the Jayhawk Radio Network on the kuleanplayer.
Key factoid - although KU leads the series 37-11 (29-10 since Bill Self and Scott Drew became the head coaches for their respective programs after Spring 2003), BU has won the last two games in the series - both played in Waco. Methinks it's time for that KU skid to end with a win to bring Self's Jayhawks to 17-1 in AFH against Drew's crews. (FTR, Roy was 7-1 against the pre-Drew Bears, 3-0 in AFH, 3-1 in Waco).
ESPN analytics favor KU to win 77.5% of the time, with the spread favoring KU by 7.5 points (Link)
asteroid has not yet posted his game day thread as I write this.
His latest Big XII Projection (Round 4) indicates KU should hold court and win by 8.
CorpusJayhawk's Rock Chalk Challenge pregame - and so much more - writeup can be read here.
His basic DPPI projection has KU by 8.2 points, 72% of the time.
He personally has KU winning 78-67.
