NPOY #11: Wooden Award!
Unanimous Consensus!
NPOY #10: NABC
CONSENSUS NPOY!
NPOY #9: Naismith Trophy
NPOY #8: USBWA (Oscar Robertson Trophy)
The Oscar Robertson Trophy is voted on by the entire membership of the association, which consists of more than 900 journalists. It is the nation's oldest award and the only one named after a former player.
NPOY #7: Associated Press
Got 37 out of a possible 65 votes, Josh Hart was second with 16.
NPOY #6: CBS Sports
"Mason earns the honor largely because of his consistency and clutch play. He was more fun to watch, more statistically valuable to his team and more dependable on an every-game basis than any other player in the country."
NPOY Award #5: FoxSports
NPOY Award #4: The Sporting News
"... Frank Mason III is Sporting News' national Player of the Year for the 2016-17 season. As is the case with the KU greats he will join in the Allen rafters, he is entering some staggering company, from Oscar Robertson to Pete Maravich, from Bill Walton to Phil Ford, from Patrick Ewing to Tim Duncan and Kenyon Martin to Buddy Hield."
NPOY Award #3: USAToday
"Which means that, yes, Frank Mason’s four-year career at Kansas ranks among the all-time greats — and don’t think the Jayhawks faithful don’t realize that."
NPOY Award #2. NBC Sports (by Consensus)
"... for us at NBC Sports, Frank Mason III wasn’t just the obvious pick, it was the consensus pick."
NPOY Award #1. Bleacher Report
"He has the moments. He has the numbers. He has the wins. He made this pick easy. Frank Mason III is the Bleacher Report National Player of the Year."
ROCK CHALK, JAYHAWK!

Who was the last Jayhawk to get this coveted award? (Not a challenge--I really don't remember.)

Keep 'em coming. Especially the Naismith and Wooden awards, please.
There's no "I" in team, but Frank deserves this. And as Frank goes, so go this year's Jayhawks!
Rock Chalk, and congrats to Frank!

Man, I so hope he lands both the Wooden and Naismith awards. (Fingers crossed!)
I changed the title so we can just keep adding the awards earned all in one place as they are announced.

Would rather win a National championship than win these awards, but we'll take them! #KUCMB twitter.com/the_deezer/sta…
As for the NC, from your lips to God's ear, Frank!

Maybe when you are a pee wee; you haven't been recruited by major schools, but you have enough confidence in yourself to know that you can excel with the big boys; hard work pays off. Gonna graduate.
I certainly don't smirk when I think/say: Frank Mason III, student-athlete.

Doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of things, but it is nice to know that so far everyone agrees that Frank is DA MAN!

If by some atrocity Frank does not win the Wooden or the AP POY awards, these first 3 games of the NCAA tournament, especially this last one against Purdue and its NPOY candidate Swanigan, should lock up the Naismith POY award for him.
THANK YOU FRANK MASON III!
And the same to all the rest of our Jayhawks!

But TEAM first, as Frank himself underscores... Win it all and the hardware and accolades will take care of themselves...
