Possession analysis

"I congratulate Colorado. They made plays down the stretch. They made shots they had to make. They had a heck of a lot to do with our poor play. We didn’t play very well, but they had a lot to do with it. We can talk all we want about being a big- time team, but you can’t play like that for 40 minutes and expect to win. They got over every screen, we got over none; they set good screens, we didn’t; they made shots, we didn’t.

"It was an ugly game. They were more into it than we were from the first moment of the game. Ricardo did a much better job than I did. That’s about as frustrating as it can be, to play like that for 40 minutes after the positive things that we’ve been doing, and we got completely away from everything we’ve been doing.

"I think there was a foul (on Kirk Hinrich at the end of the game). I would like to have had Jeff Graves in the game at the end. I thought it (Graves’ fifth foul) was a charge, but the official called it a block. That’s all I’m going to say about that. The officials didn’t lose the game for us, by any means. I’m not saying that. But I did think there was a foul there at the end.

"Michael Lee stepped up and made two big free throws that were big-time for us. He’s a tough, tough kid. It’s a shame we stayed in foul trouble. We said all along that our depth was a big question mark for us. Jeff’s been playing very well, but he couldn’t stay out of foul trouble. It was a shame to get his fifth foul on that kind of call, but that’s part of the game.”
