"Well, for about 33 or 34 minutes I really thought it was a heck of a college basketball game. I was pleased with the way our guys were competing. We were having a difficult time getting stops on the defensive end, yet we were scoring. Then all of a sudden we just couldn't put the ball in the basket, and we'd go down to the other end and they made some plays. We lost a couple of people and didn't do a good job on Paul Shirley's drive, which I thought was a big play for them. But for 33 or 34 minutes, I thought it was a very good college basketball game and I was impressed with what our kids were doing. We were making a lot of mistakes, but still we were hanging in there. Then in the last three, four, five, or six minutes it just got away.

"Marcus Fizer is a load. You look at what he's done in the league this year, and he's probably playing better than anybody in the league. He's leading the league in scoring, he's shooting 64%, so he is a tough load for us. He kept getting our guys in foul trouble, and down the stretch he was doing most of the damage most of the time.

"We've got to try to get the ball inside and take it to the basket. And even in the first part of the game when it was competitive, they outrebounded us on the offensive boards 14 to four in the first half. Every time there's a loose ball underneath, they picked it up and ended up scoring. They were just quicker to the ball.

"It was just a bad five or six minutes. I'd love to give you a great explanation, but it's too involved."
