"Such a big hole against a very good team. A team that's got a lot of character and a lot of poise, even though I'm sure Tom would question how they turned it over there during that stretch. You can make a big comeback if the other team will start bickering at each other. That makes it a heck of a lot easier, but that team wasn't going to do that.

"The first half they were the aggressors. We talked to the team about how physical it was going to be, how aggressive it was going to be, and how we had to be ready to compete, and I don't think we competed as hard in the first half as we needed to, and as hard as our teams in the past have done. This is a team that's still trying to fight its way through, but instead of fighting its way through they're sort of tiptoeing through, and you can't do that against a very good basketball team.

"They were physical and good. When I say physical, I'm not meaning dirty or anything like that. We would start to set a screen, and they'd push us out of the way. We'd try to get to the backboards, and they'd push us out of the way. When they wanted to get to the backboard, they got to the backboard. We talked about two things more than anything. About getting back in transition, and in the first half they had 13 points in transition.

"Secondly, we talked about boxing out, and they beat us to death on the backboards. We've got to get a lot better. We're a young club, but that's an excuse I'm not going to use with the kids. We are going to get better, but we're going to have to be more competitive than we were in the first half.

"We got it down to six, I think, and had at least two and maybe three or four chances with the ball to do something, but rushed it one time, poor Nick Bradford turned it over one time, and then we go down to the other end and Drew loses his man, and we get beat down the middle twice on penetration. But it was exciting during that time. Everybody was into it. We've just got to be able to get to that point and continue. I think we got to that point and we relaxed, and then they made a couple of free throws and made a couple of good plays out of it. And we didn't help ourselves with the way we went to the line and shot free throws."
