"I thought it was two teams playing really hard. I thought Oklahoma State played really tough and rebounded it and pressured us out of what we wanted to do, and we kind of did the same to them for a while. It was a good game, but not well played, not very artistic offensively, but that was in large part due to some pretty good defense.

"(Russell Robinson) got a good one (cut above right eye). If he was a boxer they would have called the fight. I dont know how many stitches hell need, but hes going to need several tonight. But hes tough. I mean, look at his line. He didnt shoot it, but other than that seven steals and eight assists. He played tough and he played well. Im sure hell be fine for tomorrow.

"Most teams weve had have been pretty good (defensively). But with this team, weve tried to sell them on the fact were going to go through periods of time when we labor to score, so we need to score off our defense and make other teams play poorly offensively. Mario and Hawk and Russell can eat you up. A lot of teams can eat you up, but they dont have hands. These guys can eat you up and they have great hands. And our bigs do a good job of not giving up easy baskets, for the most part. Not always, but tonight we defended them pretty good until the end, then they rain in all those shots at the end."
