"This wasn’t a 15-point win here. That game could have gone either way. I think they were up 42-39, and then we went on a really good run, about a 25-6 run, to end the game. Doing that is great, but we played miserably. I thought physically they controlled us the entire first half. And the floor was like a skating rink. We had turnovers and they had turnovers because guys were slipping the whole time. But with the floor being slick and with their pressure, we didn’t have anything going. But the second half we got the ball inside and were finally able to utilize a ton of ball screens to get the ball to the paint, and guys stepped up and made plays.

"Rebounds were big, and we had 16 steals. That’s a season high. We forced a lot of turnovers and we played pretty big. I thought Sasha really played big tonight, and I thought C.J. came in and gave us some great minutes. Darnell didn’t play much because he got three quick ones (fouls). And Christian had some really good plays for us, too.

"For (Julian Wright) to get 12 (pts) and eight (rebs) in a game like that is really good. I’m proud of our guys. They fought, it was ugly, Oklahoma State played hard, but our guys responded well.

"It’s strange (coming home to play against OSU), but the biggest reason it’s strange tonight is because Coach (Eddie Sutton) isn’t here. It’s not the same when he’s not here. He’s done so much for this whole state and the university. He has almost single-handedly put Oklahoma State on the map from a giving standpoint, from a basketball standpoint, from an exposure standpoint. The entire situation is bad. You should feel bad for the lady who was in the accident, also. I just hope he gets better fast. I told Dove, ‘You guys have got to rally around this,’ and hopefully they will and finish the season strong.

"We need to rest. Although we didn’t play tired tonight, but four games in eight days.... As we get later in the season, minutes are going up. Just like tonight. Brandon played 39 minutes and had one of his poorest games of the year. But we need him out there. If we can just go home and take care of business Saturday (vs MU), the schedule tips in our favor with three of our last five at home."
