#4 Kansas 75, Harvard 69

Kansas survived 1-6 Harvard today in Allen Fieldhouse, 75-69.

KU led at halftime by 9 points.  Harvard chipped away in the second half and eventually tied the game at 56 points with 7:35 left in the game.

KU was led by Frank Mason with 21 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals.  8 of his points were in the last five minutes, and in the final minutes he shot 5 of 6 from the free throw line.

KU's high scorer for the season, Wayne Selden, Jr., was hampered by foul trouble all game.  He finished with 9 points and 4 rebounds in only 22 minutes.  He has hit at least two three-pointers in every game this season.

Rebounding - We outrebounded Loyola by 7 grabbing 38% of offensive boards and 71% of defensive. Both are above the standard goals of 35% offensive and 70% defensive but this was a small team. I rate this a relatively poor rebounding performance based on the competition.

The Kansas Jayhawks survived a sloopy first-half and woke up to defeat Loyola (MD) in Allen Fieldhouse.

KU Volleyball Wins on Senior Day

The ninth-ranked KU volleyball team won today on Senior Day, a thee-set sweep of Texas Tech.  KU won 25-19, 25-9, and 25-23.

Bob Davis Announces His Retirement

Bob Davis, who has been the play-by-play announcer on the Jayhawk Radio Network for over 30 years, has announced that he is retiring after this basketball season.  His last football game will be Sat. Nov. 28. 

Decision in the Diallo case

Kansas forward Cheick Diallo was finally ruled eligible for his fresman season.

The Kansas Jayhawks won the Maui Invitational by beating Vanderbilt 70-63 after trailing by as many as 10 in the first half.
