America speaks.

On this subject I can't put the responsibility on any party or individual. We came so close in 2016, but thanks in great part to Russia's
meddling, we failed to make history. Now, despite the fact that we have had competent, vibrant, experienced women candidates, America has spoken. It appears we will have a male leader once again. Both leading candidates are past their physical prime, and I wonder if either will be two-term presidents so that their plans can be fulfilled. Nevertheless, America has spoken, and although I will support either male, I am sad and disappointed. Again.

Though they may be past their physical prime, fortunately they are both as mentally sharp as they ever were.

Yes, that seems to be true, although some I see the tongue-in-cheek behind, "mentally sharp as they ever were," especially regarding Joe Biden.

I don't question his mental acuteness as much as his verbosity. Perhaps that's a good thing if he becomes President. Our enemies would be so worn out from his endless spew of words that they would agree to anything just to get him to stop talking!

Whatever, it still saddens me that the final candidates are two white men.
