31-7 win over Central Michigan.
KU played well all around. Defense was excellent with 6 take aways, giving the O lots of short fields. And the O actually did okay in taking advantage.
Freshman RB Pooka Williams is going to be a star. Not a starter yet, but when he was in he produced.

Last win away from home was 2009 against UTEP in El Paso, Todd Reesing's last season. Won first 5 that season, then (IIRC) Reesing got hurt against Colorado and was never the same, KU losing it's last 7 of the season.

My first post on the football board. I usually start watching or listening to every game with the expectation of becoming so nauseated by bad play that I turn it off and go do something more enjoyable like banging my head against a wall. I am admittedly not very knowledgable about things football but even I can recognize pathetic effort and execution. And that is what we have had to some degree or other for the last 10 years or so. But I must say, today was a rather enjoyable experience. I do not follow football much so I don’t know if Cnetal Michigan is a pathetic cupcake or semi-decent team. But we won on the road and that is something that we haven’t done since 2009. I still think the end for Beaty is nigh but i am happy for him for today and this coming week. How many days until hoops season?

Now all the stories are saying it was a 46 game streak, I reckon because the last 3 losses to mOO at Arrowhead weren’t really true road games.
Whatever.
Either way, it’s still the longest streak in D1 history.
