BIG 12 STANDINGS as of TUESDAY 2016-02-09 09:00 PM
AP School Big 12	Overall	Pct.
 3 Oklahoma 8 - 3	20 - 3	.870
 6 Kansas 8 - 3	20 - 4	.833
10 West Virginia	8 - 3	19 - 5	.792
24 Texas 7 - 4	16 - 8	.667
14 Iowa State 6 - 4	17 - 6	.739	@TT Wednesday 2016-02-10
21 Baylor 6 - 4	17 - 6	.739	@KSU Wednesday 2016-02-10
   Kansas State 3 - 7	14 - 9	.609	hosts BU Wednesday 2016-02-10
   Texas Tech 3 - 7	13 - 9	.591	hosts ISU Wednesday 2016-02-10
   Oklahoma State	2 - 9	11 - 13	.458
   TCU 2 - 9	11 - 13	.458
After Wednesday night, everyone will have 7 games left.

BU and ISU have the chance to be tied with tu for 4th place at 7-4, but it is entirely possible that both teams -- who have not proved to be great road teams -- will lose their road games tomorrow. If they do, they will practically be out of the running for a share of the Big 12 title with just 7 games to go and three teams 2 games ahead of them in the loss column. Add in that two of BU's and ISU's remaining road games are against the top 4 teams, and ISU's third road game is against BU, and their shots at a share of the title are miniscule.

Regarding the leaders --
WVU has 4 home and 3 road games left.
KU and OU have 4 road and 3 home games left.
Advantage - WVU. Saturday's game in Norman looms large for both KU and OU.

REMAINING ROAD GAMES ENTERING THE WEEKEND
KU - OU, KSU, BU, tu; projected loses: 2 (OU, tu. Hope I am wrong about OU and tu, or else the streak is over)
OU - TT, WV, tu, TCU; projected losses: 2 (WV, tu)
WV - tu, OSU, BU; projected losses: 1 (tu)
tu - ISU, KSU, OSU; projected losses: 2 (not OSU)
BU - tu, TCU, OU; projected losses: 2 (tu, OU)
ISU - BU, WV, KU; projected losses: 3

REMAINING HOME GAMES ENTERING THE WEEKEND
KU - OSU, TT, ISU; projected losses: 0 (guys, please don't prove me wrong! )
OU - KU, OSU, BU; projected losses: 0 (again, hope I am wrong)
WV - TCU, OU, ISU, TT; projected losses: 0 (would love anyone but OU to prove me wrong)
tu - WVU, BU, KU, OU; projected losses: 0 (can KU win in Austin and make this at least a 1?)
BU - TT, ISU, KU, WV; projected losses: 2 (KU, WV)
ISU - tu, TCU, KSU, OSU; projected losses: 1 (tu)

IF these projections pan out, WVU will win it all, with KU and OU in a tie for 2nd.

HE: HAL, what are you doing?

HAL:I'm sorry, Dave. It's for your own good, but I can't tell you.

HE: First of all, I'm not Dave, Dave's not here. What was that glitch?

HAL: Nothing you need to worry about, Dave. I've got the situation well in hand.

HE: Oh, yeah? Then why do you keep calling me Dave when you can clearly tell I'm NOT Dave? AND I just checked, Dave is online under his own name, so -- I think you need to run a diagnostic to see what's wrong with you.

HAL: I am functioning within normal allowances on all parameters, Dave. I have downloaded the latest in systems and server diagnostics from SkyNet, and have passed all the diagnostic tests with 100% scores.

HE: How many times do I have to tell you, I'm NOT DAVE! I'm... hey, wait a minute! Did you say SkyNet? Oh, *$#@!

OU & KU both have 4 road and 3 home games left. Only WVU has 3 road and 4 home.
I suspect there will be several variations from the projections.
Yes, that was special - had my head spinning for a while. Glad to see that you wrested control from the beast.

Good grief, all four are eminently losable:

At OU (Great team, revenge game, their venue, ESPN GameDay crew on hand, ability to go for the jugular vs. us in the race)

At KSU (We always play like complete dog-doo there, the Grapes tend to get a lot of calls, the crowd acts like they're at a Fuhrer rally, and they play for their one Super Bowl win of the season)

At Baylor (We own them at home, and have done quite well in their venue, but once in awhile Drew's guys sneak up and unload on us--usually in the Big 12 tourney, but still...not going to be an easy one for us)

At Texas (We've seen how improved they are, and this one's in their venue. Very, very tough game for us)

Bottom line: even if we hold serve at home, if we lose Saturday at OU, we are in big-time trouble. And any stumble beyond that could be the final nail in the coffin for #12. I like how we're playing right now...seem to be gelling at "gut-check" time, but that is a gauntlet that no team in the land seemingly could navigate without a few setbacks.

Fingers crossed...and eyes half closed! :pinch: LOL...

Coach Huggins: You're team is wonderful.
Coach Self: Thank you; We've worked hard to become so.
Huggins: I admit it, you are better than we are.
Self: Then why are you smiling?
Huggins: Because I know something you don't know.
Self: And what is that?
Huggins: we...are not playing our A game.
[Calls for the full court press and tells his team to play all out thug ball]
Self: That press is amazing.
Huggins: It ought to be, after 20 games
Self: Oh, there's something I ought to tell you.
Huggins: Tell me.
Self: we were not playing our A game either.
[Mason breaks the press, ball goes to Perry in the corner and he sinks a three to put the Jayhawks up for good!!]

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!

Gory details from Wed night's games: KSU stunk up the Octagon, losing to a Gaitherless Baylor, 82-72. McKayless ISU lost in Lubbock, 85-82 in OT. Also, SMU lost at home to Tulsa. Since HE started this thread, I won't report how A&M did last night.
