I attended and enjoyed the women’s game at AFH and had a pleasant dinner and time with my kids and grand kids. Followed the men's game on line.
At 2 AM I was awake and I had a strong delayed reaction to KU men loosing the way that they did. Did not sleep well the rest of the night. I hope the team and the coach/s can recover from the way this team lost. It is going to take me a few days/weeks/months.
Self seemed very despondent. Having gone through what he has health wise and seen a few friends having similar issues, I was not surprised by his post game response. Yes, one losses a certain amount of mental edge and patience. A realization that one is not in their youth any longer. Bill, do what is best for you, and your family. If that is retiring, do so, if you decide you want to continue, do so. This is a wakeup call.
