"When I was a freshman, I remember Coach Naismith telling us how important it was to play good defense." - Mitch Lightfoot
Having seen the Big 12 tourney LED floor, it's certainly something. It's also getting a wide array of reviews. Some players and coaches seem to be taking the "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" route, and others have come out strongly against it.
For me, the deal breaker was the KSU player who left the game with a migraine. If it's having a negative impact on the ability to compete, I think they need to ditch it going forward. What say you?

I voted to ditch the floor, BUT, being a person who bought in early in Macs and iPhones, I do like the idea of new technologies and quirky use of technologies. The issue of player health tripped me over to the NO or ditch vote. Flashing lights can trigger both seizures and migraines as well as mental health crisis issues. Not worth the risk.

Also saw a lot of players slipping which could cause injury. Heard somewhere they were going to replace the floor with the hardwood. Seems like the floor is more for the fans rather than player safety.

The Big 12 is replacing the floor for the semifinals and the finals.
Brett Yormark talked with the coaches of the 4 remaining teams and they were all in favor of replacing it.
Going to be a lot of work done over night.
Thankfully the next game isn't until the early evening.

Sure...they talked to coaches and players. We know the truth. 6 votes against it on the RockChalk board was the real reason behind the change. The rest is window dressing. We know where the real power is centered.
