"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
ESPN: The 2026 men's college basketball coaching carousel guide
Two main sections
1. Jobs Already Open, led by KState
2. Jobs That Could Open, including some seats that looked hot at the start of the season but may have cooled off a bit as the teams have done better than originally projected, starting with UNC's Hubert Davis looking to be good for at least another year after this one - especially if the tarred ones have a good post-season run.

Here’s the cbssports.com version as of 2026-03-09

ASU parting with B. Hurley not picked up yet.
Did you know Billy Gillispie was still coaching D1? Just let go by WAC’s Tarleton State.
Of note - KU’s own Mark Turgeon is the new HC for the UMKC Roos, or KC Roos as they are now called.
Best of luck to him!
Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!

Just heard on ESPN - Syracuse has fired Boeheim's replacement Adrian Autry after 3 years. National search underway.

I updated the OP adding the link below containing a simple "OUT/IN" list from USAToday Sports.
USAToday.com: College basketball coaches fired: Updated list of schools making changes by Austin Curtright
Here's the complete list as of 2026-03-11 12:55 PM CT
Big 12 jobs in CAPS
Air Force: Joe Scott
ARIZONA STATE: Bobby Hurley
Arkansas-Little Rock: Darrell Walker
Ball State: Michael Lewis
Boston College: Earl Grant
Eastern Michigan: Stan Heath
Florida International: Jeremy Ballard
Georgia Tech: Damon Stoudamire
Kansas City: Marvin Menzies (Mark Turgeon hired as replacement)(Do we root for the Roos?)*
KANSAS STATE: Jerome Tang
Lamar: Alvin Brooks
Louisiana-Monroe: Phil Cunningham
Northern Illinois: Rashon Burno
Oregon State: Wayne Tinkle
Pepperdine: Ed Schilling
Providence: Kim English
San Diego: Steve Lavin (JR Blount hired as replacement) (remember Steve Lavin at UCLA?)
St. Bonaventure: Mark Schmidt
Syracuse: Adrian Autry
Tarleton State: Billy Gillispie
Tennessee Tech: John Pelphrey
UNC Greensboro: Mike Jones
Western Michigan: Dwayne Stephens
I added Bobby Hurley to the list because he is not fired yet, but his contract is NOT being renewed by ASU,
*Hey - now there really is a Kansas City Jayhawk!
2022 NCAAT title award ceremony and the flub by then NCAA President Mark Emmert... still perhaps the most publicly embarrassing moment for an NCAA chief in the history of the organization, especially given the context. I almost never post a link to anything written by tigger sycophant and apologist Pat Forde, but his article in SI on the departure of Emmert (announced within weeks of the KU title win) does a pretty good job of describing the inadequacies of the Emmert administration.
si.com: Goodbye, NCAA President Mark Emmert, and Good Luck to Whomever Takes Your Place
He was able to avoid the spotlight and outright mutiny. But the figurehead’s blunders and overall inaction has all but stripped the NCAA of any power and credibility.

Buenas noches, Tuesday 2026-03-24.
UNC fired Hubert Davis USAToday: What Hubert Davis said after UNC basketball fired him
HUBERT DAVIS in 5 years at UNC
125–54 (.698) 68–30 (.694)
If/when Bill steps down, if his replacement is winning 70% of his games I hope KANSAS does not UCLA post Wooden UNC post Williams Bill's replacement. UCLA drove off some excellent coaches after Wooden. UNC was shaky after Dean until luring Roy home, and now there is blood in the water.
Really hoping Bill stays at least another year, health permitting of course.
I do not relish the idea of a coaching search when the headliner is UNC.- and you know it will be.
The marquees will all read
COACHING VACANCIES
UNC
KANSAS
All the others
I want KANSAS to be the only truly big dog when the time comes.
Here's CBS latest update, which was published before the Davis firing.
