We're now halfway through the conference season, sort of. Each team plays 18 conference games, and
we've now had 9 rounds of play, which would make it halfway if everybody played in every round, but
there have been a few byes. So we're a little under halfway, but will be a little over halfway by
the end of Round 9. Kansas started in fifth place and is still in fifth place. A win by the Jayhawks
on Big Monday would allow the Jayhawks to take over fourth place. It's a bit of deja vu, as Kansas
just came off a game against the team just ahead of them in the projected standings with the prospect
of leapfrogging that opponent if they could pull out a win. Ditto for today's game.
Round 10 features one game on Big Monday, four games on Wednesday, one game on Thursday, and four teams
with byes. To avoid line wrap, given that I've now maxed out the line width, I've removed the Round 1
projected wins.

asteroid,
First, thanks for the edit that eliminates the line wrap!
Much appreciated!
Second, refresh my memory, please - the rankings and ratings you use are from kenpom.com, correct?
Thanks again!

I used to use the ratings from Sagarin, but he stopped doing basketball after the 2023 season. That's when I switched to using Pomeroy's ratings.
And a quick correction: "but will be a little over halfway by the end of Round 9." That should have said by the end of Round 10. We just finished Round 9, and we're a little under halfway through the season. Kansas has now reached the halfway point following the Texas Tech game.
