The article said he's feeling better. I was on a cruise last fall and felt terrible, ended up getting an IV at the ship's infirmary. Felt better almost instantly and went on the excursion the next day.
That said, the game isn't until 9PM (MST) tomorrow so I suspect there's still a chance for him to catch up with the team. The wife and I are going, hope to see him...but more importantly hope he feels better.
Question: Some of KU's wins were attributed to Coach Roberts when he filled in. I used to think that was fair, but thinking more about...HCBS recruited the players, prepared the offensive and defensive concepts, and prepares each game plan (clearly with help from the assistant coaches and scouts). I would think he should get credit for the win (or loss although I clearly hope not). Curious as to the thoughts of the rest of this esteemed group.

The only games attributed to Norm were the ones when Bill was suspended at the beginning of AY2022-23. The games Bill missed for health reasons went on Bill’s record.
Norm’s official KU HC record is 4-0.

If Bill does NOT join the team tomorrow I expect Jeremy Case will be the acting HC.

I worry about HCBS, and the public statement doesn't provide any details. While I'm hoping it's no big deal, he's also had a couple of other "minor illnesses" that we later found out were fairly significant heart issues. Bottom line I'm hoping for the best.
I tend to agree with you USAF. I get why they didn't count the games during a suspension, but I'm glad they DO count the ones where he was out due to illness. If they ever make me the Tsar of College Basketball, I'd record those wins as "dual" wins. Give Norm the win since he was on the floor running the show, and ALSO give Self credit for the wins as it was "his" team, plan, and system.
Tangential question: in a situation like this, and unless he's REALLY incapacitated, you'd have to assume that Self would be talking to (likely) Case prior to the game providing direction, and possibly in his ear at halftime. Do you think the oversight (assuming he's healthy enough to do it) would spill all the way down to Self calling or texting one of the managers and maintaining an open line of communication during the actual game? It certainly wouldn't shock me.

It'll feel better when it stops hurting
Not Case, Jacque Vaughn, He would have been my pick as well because of his experience

Thanks, sasnak!
I’m fine with Jacque taking over, but have to wonder how Jeremy feels about it?
He was promoted to “Associate” Head Coach in the off season, and all the other guys still have only “assistant” titles, This action has me wondering if JC was promoted to encourage him to stay on board with the arrival of JV, who IMO has to be considered the current front runner to replace Bill when Bill steps down for good.
