Monday, Monday,
So good to KU.
The Jayhawks look for another W over Notre Dame U!

But Monday morning, odds you'll give us no warning
of how we will play...

Oh Monday. Monday let's hope the 'Hawks are prepped for ...

... Buh duh DUH duh DUH DUH duh duh duh duh DUH DUH DUH ... BALL DAY!!

Another member of the Top 25 All Time Winningest Programs club is first up for KU in the Jayhawks first appearance in the Players' Era multiteam event in Las Vegas. KANSAS (3-2) first played Notre Dame (4-1) in Men's basketball in 1928.
Notre Dame leads the series 9-3, last time winning 90-76 in South Bend back in 1988.

ESPN's Matchup Predictor favors KANSAS almost 3 to 1 on Monday. (I don't know if that factors in DnP or not).

Here's the CBSSports.com link detailing all you need to know (except the TV schedule) about this NIL generating event

See the NCAA link for the TV schedule for all participants, men and women. Players' Era Las Vegas 2025

After Monday's game KU will play Syracuse on TUE NOV 25, same Hawk time, same Hawk channel.

Every team is guaranteed to play in 3 games. The results of the first two days play will determine the matchups for Wednesday (or Thursday for the last 4, may they not include KU!).

Self is holding Peterson out yet again... for this whole tournament, in fact.
Odds D(N)P is suited up for UConn in AFH on DEC 2?
Last week HCBS said DnP is "almost ready".

Solid games by our Jayhawks.
Bidunga, Tiller & White led the way.

Rest overnight and prep for Syracuse, who should have a rough road in today's next game against Houston.

Box score KU 71 ND 61

As we have always known and saw on display far too often over the past couple of seasons, offense is one key, but solid defense is critical - and these guys get it.

Bidunga 18, Tiller with 17 and White with 16 led the attack

Melvin Council also did well, scoring a quiet 12 points, with 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals against only 2 turnovers in over 38 minutes.

Rosario was scoreless (0-1) in over 19 minutes of play. Hard to score when you don't take shots.

Hope to see CorpusJayhawk's analysis here. If he still can't post I'll try to publish it from his RCC newsletter.

Jamari only scored 5 (1-4, 1-3 3pt, 2-2 FT) in over 18 minutes, but his sole basket was a huge 3 late in the game, and he was solid on D.

Elmarko actually was ok in his 14 minutes. He only scored 3 points (1-2, both treys), but he did add a rebound and an assist without ball over in 14:29 on the floor. And the D held up well with him in.

Had a conflict and could not watch the game. Saw most of the last 19 minutes. I thought the team played well on offense and defense. Flory and Tiller were impressive.

If Bidunga and Tiller can stay out of foul trouble, and the team keeps playing this type of D they are tough w/wo DnP. DnP takes this team to the next level. Rosario needs to see the ball go in the hoop. Tre White is just a stud, he does everything, he reminds me of one of my fall time favorite Jayhawks Steve Woodberry.

Exactly, LFK: if the bigs can stay out of foul trouble. This was only one game, but I hope it's the start of a trend.

Not sure how good Notre Dame is, but I'm glad we were tested and passed the test. If we get the team we saw today, AND a healthy Peterson, we're going to be really really good. Lots of things need to fall into place, but I'd rather see a path to success than be lost without a plan. We have the path, let's see if we can follow it.
