TAY KINNEY
Position: Point Guard
Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 15
Rivals Ranking: No. 25
Why Kansas: “The University of Kansas. Just because Bill Self’s background is great,” said Tay Kinney. “Kansas is just a winning program. I feel like I’m going to be on that stage to be able to get to the league.”
DAVION ADKINS
Position: Power Forward
Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 31
Rivals Ranking: No. 27
Rivals Position Ranking: No. 4
Why Kansas: “From going on my visit, the atmosphere around there and just comparing it to other visits, it was one of the best visits for sure,” said Davion Adkins. “(Bill Self) he’s a truth teller. He’s not going to lie to your face and be a yes man; he’s going to tell you the truth.”
TRENT PERRY
Position: Small Forward
Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 102
Rivals Ranking: No. 140
Rivals Position Ranking: No. 39
Why Kansas: “I chose Kansas because I felt like it was the next step from Link, as in playing against the best players every single day in practice and playing in a great conference against good competition,” said Trent Perry. “I also felt like a few players similar to me got the right development there and made that jump to becoming a pro at Kansas.”
LUKE BARNETT
Position: Shooting Guard
Rivals Industry Ranking: No. 119
Rivals Ranking: No. 113
Rivals Position Ranking: No. 30
Why Kansas: “Yeah, it’s definitely super exciting,” said Luke Barnett. “Just knowing how great of a program Kansas has been for so long and how much history the program and Coach Self have, so yeah, it’s definitely pretty cool to think about.”
No word on the status of Javon Bardwell, the 5* who may be reclassifying from 2027 to 2026.

All four signed today, the first day of the early signing period.
No update today on 2027 KU commit Javon Bardwell reclassifying to 2026.
Shawnee Mission KS native Ethan Taylor (4* C, 7-1/230) is expected to announce his choice this Friday.
The gurus are NOT projecting KU (Izzo bound?), but it ain't over 'til it's over.
Everyone's overall #1 and KU recruit SF Tyran Stokes is apparently in a wee bit o' trouble and he and his HS have mutually agreed to part ways. No idea on how this issue (rumor is a fight leading to him breaking a fellow student's jaw?) will impact KU's "want" of him or KU's attractiveness *to* him. Again, KU is NOT the favorite, but again -- no fat lady singing for this kid yet. Oregon and UK are the competition.
KU recruiting class is presently #1 for the first time in 247Sports.com history, #3 for Rivals/On3 and #2 for ESPN.
But there are still roughly half of the 2026 class to commit, so who knows how those rankings will change?
