Our women hoopsters beat Kansas City (formerly UMKC) 74-64 in their season opener on Wednesday.

A little something positive after the collapses of the Men hoopsters at UNC and the football team literally losing in the last minute of Saturday's game at Arizona.

The KU women's soccer team made it to the Big 12 Tournament title game for the second straight year before falling to Utah 1-0. (link)
They are expected to play in round 1 of the NCAA Tournament which starts on Friday November 14 (Selection Show to be streamed on NCAA.com this Monday at 3:PM CT)

And on Saturday NOV 15 our #13 Women's Volleyball squad rolls into KState for a rematch (after losing in a game played in AFH earlier this season) on the heels of a 3-0 smoking of Cincinnati Saturday night. Game time is 1 PM CT, ,available on ESPN+.

Tough break for fans who have youtube.tv as their TV provider. Disney pulled ABC and ESPN from youtube.tv on October 31 as they failed to agree to terms, leaving KU fans using youtube.tv missing everything offered on those networks and streaming services since then. NBC Sports reports Disney and youtube are trying to come to terms, but at least one survey says youtube.tv has already lost (or is projected to lose) up to 24% of its subscribers due to the disagreement. Sad for youtube.tv really, because Disney is the giant flexing its muscle to get the deal it wants, but the real losers are the fans who in good faith paid for something they are being deprived of because of the impasse.
