"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
The Jayhawks are flying
As they keep on vying
to win all their games, both at home and away.
An old foe in sight
with Kansas ties tight
as we root for another Jayhawk win this...
... Buh duh DUH duh DUH DUH duh duh duh duh DUH DUH DUH ... BALL NIGHT!
Since Roy left for home Kansas has dominated the series 5-0 to take a 7-6 lead in the series.
Here's to that trend continuing.
KU versus UNC history
Hubert Davis is reportedly in the hot seat at UNC, and a win against our Jayhawks would help his cause immensely.
I don't want him to lose his job, but I'm sure rooting for a KU win on Friday!
Believe it or not, this is the very first time that KU has played UNC in Chapel Hill.
KU has played UNC twice before in NC, in Charlotte and Raleigh, but never in Chapel Hill.
KU has never won in NC.
Here's to that trend ending!
I'm guessing KU 80 UNC 76.
What say ye?
LET'S GO JAYHAWKS!

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Great stuff.

Alas it was not the Hawks night. It seemed that all the breaks went UNC's way. On top of that they did out work the Hawks in the second half. Hopefully the Hawks learn from this and get better.
