Okay, the exhibition games do have value in giving our new guys a chance to actually play together against another team without concerns about the impact on the record. They definitely count, especially for team chemistry, just not in the official W-L line.

The game @preseason #11 (IIRC) Louisville went really well!
Even with Darryn Peterson only playing just over 20 minutes, sitting most of H2 with his cramps issue. GOT to solve that problem.

I thought KU did ok against Fort Hays State yesterday.
Not great, in fact ugly at times, but we tend to forget that year in, year out FHSU is one of the top defensive teams in D2.

Our preseason AA Peterson didn’t play.
Half the game was played with 2nd and 3rd string guys who have played 2 total games together as a team.
We ran almost zero plays, and rotated lineups every other minute.
Yet KU held FHSU to 35 total points and doubled them up.

Quite a good result IMO from an exhibition game where all we were trying to do is tinker with lineups and get some bench guys playing time before the rotation goes to 8 or 9.

IN OTHER NEWS
Self announced Corbin Allen will redshirt this AY, which should come as a surprise to no one here.
