OT, FB stadium update

I live near campus so walk Memorial Drive daily. Stadium, Phase 1, looking good except I was anxious about the laying of the new turf for the first game in later August. Just read that the turf is supposed to be laid this week. Rumor out on the money for the East side will be made shortly. You might sign on the KU Sports app and see the turf laid in real time.

Tuesday, AM. No sign of the turf yet. Patience is not one of my strong suits.

It started.

You bet me to it. I found it strange where they stated laying the turf. Expected they would start from an end zone since the goal posts are up. Hope they have it marked out correctly. Don't want the famous east - west train rails not matching up when they meet (Ha Ha).

The playing area of the field is now set. As to why they started in the middle, my wife explained, that as a seamstress and quilter one does not start at the end because layer errors can get compounded.
