The Hawks Win Another Close One 77 - 69

The Hawks are going to need to figure out how to play defense without fouling. That was am impressive example, IMO, of finding a way to win when you don't play well. I really shouldn't say they didn't play well. They didn't shoot the ball well and made some poor decisions at certain points. They played well enough to win so that is what counts.

Yeah, ugly game but a win. This early in the year, learning how to make lemonade out of lemons pays dividends later on.

And despite the fact that MSU isn't ranked, Tom Izzo could take a mediocre intramural team to the round of 32. Never take him or his teams lightly.

Side note: I think he and Self are cut from the same cloth. I think there's a strong mutual admiration society between the two of them.
