RESULTS Saturday 2024-02-24
BIG 12
UH 82
BU 76 OT
Probably best game of the day w/o KU involved.
Of note - after being down 17 points in H1, BU came back and eventually tied the game on a basket by Missi, who was also fouled on the play with 4.4 seconds left. Missi missed what would have been the game winning free throw, and UH won in OT.
BYU 74
KSU 84
WVU 64
ISU 71
CIN 57
TCU 75
TT 61
UCF 75
OU 84
OKS 82
tu 67
KU 86
Last time in Lawrence for the short horns. Probably won't see them again on the non-conference schedule unless the Big 12/SEC challenge is started up again in the future.
Beyond the Big 12
No big upsets, unless you want to count Wake Forest 83 Duke 79 in Winston-Salem. Of bigger note is Duke F Kyle Filipowski getting injured in the court storming that followed the WF win. From what I have been reading on JayhawkSlant KU fans who watched the sequence in replay afterwards say that to them it looked as if Filipowski was trying to trip the WF fan. I have not seen the video, but I find those comments interesting if accurate.
Then there is hapless mOO, losing at Arkansas 88-73
Missouri is just 8-19, but more of note it is 0-14 SEC.
In fact, after starting 7-2 they are 1-17 since KU hammered them in The PHOG! back on December 9.
