This league is a monster. Hawks, with a big assist to AFH, pulled another one out.

That is a very impressive win. Finding a way to win even when things are not going your way is what made that win particularly impressive to me.

This team plays better down 10 than it does up five.
Maybe we’re the hoops version of the greatest race horse in history - Secretariat. He was dead last in his first two triple crown races, generally starting with disinterest in the race. Then he’d see all the horses ahead of him, get mad and take off like a locomotive. Arguably the most internally competitive horse in history.
Looks like our Hawks are the same. They start slow, and play pretty mundane some times. But get a lead on them, and make them mad, watch out ! They will steamroll you.

OU played well. They obviously did their homework and really played Jalen and Grady well and kept them uncomfortable. They also weren't giving us many open 3 looks. Give them credit.
Also credit KU for making a lot of 3's in the 2nd half and also playing good D to stay in it.

Was at the game. Fun. At the end, the free throws were so critical and the guys stepped up, keeping the two shot distance. Also not mentioned was the problems we had with OU’s height. We compensated at times with Clemence, who is coming along. OU ‘s point guard and their off guard are very good players but Harris was getting into their head as the game progressed. In the end they tried to play hero ball to our advantage.

That was apparent on TV as well. At one point their PG was clearly frustrated with Juan, and Juan responded during some dead time by hanging out in his ear. It drove the OU dude nuts...DHJr was clearly living rent free in his head. If we hadn't been so down at that point it would have been hilarious.
