KU took the lead 3 minutes in and never relinquished it. All 5 starters were in double figures. Grady D. was 4 of 6 from 3 leading KU to shoot 45.8% from 3. Nice game all around.

Well played game for the most part.
KU took the lead 8-6 at 17:07 after spotting WVU 4 points.
WVU never got closer than 5 after the 16:03 H1 mark, and most of the game KU had double digit leads.
WVU really missed their starting PG

A little sloppy at times, but overall a very good game. KU played great defense and WVU was certainly off balance most if the night. In the first half it was like we couldn't miss. Not used to KU shooting so many 3's, but when they're going in, that's totally cool.
The biggest/bestest thing in my mind is that we now have 2 road wins under our belt. Going back to the historical trend that winning your home games and half your road games means we're already 2 games toward the 4.5 game goal after only 3 conference games so far. The big 12 is (as usual) the toughest league in basketball, so road wins are EXTREMELY valuable.
Really loving the balance on this team. Who's the biggest liabiltiy on or starting 5? Dick and Wilson are both nationally-recognized "star" players. Harris? One of the most efficent PGs in the game and now he's hitting 3's too. McCullar? Super experienced and solid all around player. Maybe Adams is the weak link. While he's undersized to be playing in the post, he makes up for it with stregth and atheleticism and is far from a liability. About the only thing you COULD say about our guys is that we lack an experienced true post player. Hasn't been a limiting factor so far and there's still time for one of the other bigs to elevate their games.
If we can stay healthy, we're going to be a lot of fun.
