"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
... I think I'm picking up on a trend here...
KUSports.com - Tait: ‘The 2022 Miracle’ - National champion Jayhawks rode balance, team-first mentality to NCAA title
I would also like to point out that the 2022 version of the Cardiac Jayhawks followed a lot of the same script as the 2012 Cardiac Jayhawks -- fall behind, then fight their way back to victory in the second half -- except this year our guys didn't run out of time in the title game as TRob and Tyshawn did in 2012 against squid and the unibrow.

Yeah HE, that 2012 team just couldn't complete that comeback. They had quite a one-two punch with T-Rob and Tyshawn (who really rounded into form over the course of his senior year)...and they had the experience as well. But that UK team with Davs et al just proved to be too talented for our guys.
Btw, after KU won the championship, did the the KU comeback against UCLA (the regular season game in 1995) come to their mind. It did for me b/c of the 15 pt halftime deficit against the Bruins that we overcame. That was the "down by 15, win by 15" game. A turnaround like that in the championship game would've been one for the ages...and would've been much less stressful for us fans as the second half continued to play out. BUT, being on the right side of a close game like the one that happened is just as much fun as well!

Also, after reading the article HE linked up, it's fun to think about the comeback that the 2008 team made to win the championship. They were down 9 w/2:12 left and obviously fought back to tie the game, capped by Chalmers's majorly clutch 3-pointer, and send it to OT (where KU rode the momentum to the victory). I believe I read that at halftime of the UNC game, HCBS asked the team if they'd rather be down by 9 with two minutes left or 15 with 20 minutes left. I think they answered that they would take the latter.
Thinking of all this made me go back and watch the last two minutes of regulation and OT of the 2008 game. I linked up the whole game (sans commercials), but you can go to the 1:06:00 mark if you want to go straight to where the KU comeback begins.
Sidenote: Watching the three that Derrick Rose banked in with the shot clock winding down and only ~4 min left in the game reminded me of the Christian Braun three against Villanova that was hit in a very similar situation. The difference is that Braun's three helped solidify our win while Rose's three just prolonged, well, the inevitable.
And as I was watching the highlights, I saw this video that was suggested to me. It shows 3 or 4 different angles of Mario's shot and figured it was worth sharing as well.
