Let’s see, KANSAS beat Creighton, Providence and Villanova...
Hey, I reckon that makes KANSAS Big East champs, too, right?

(Take that, Jim Boeheim, you whiny SOB.
Same to Carmelo, too!)

KANSAS plays NC State in the B4A (to be played in the Bahamas on 23, 24 and 25 November 2022.).
If they have published an actual bracket for the games so we could project Day 2 opponents, I haven't found it yet.

Upon further research, traditionally on Day 2 the contestants in the two early games on Day 1 (Games 1 & 2) play each other (winner v winner, loser v loser). The same scheme applies to the contestants in the two later Day 1 games (Games 3 & 4).

So if tradition holds, on Day 2 KANSAS will play either Dayton or Wisconsin and BYU will play either Butler or Tennessee.

Day1 G2: BYU v USC... who would have thought that this would basically be a Big 12 vs B1G contest?

And wouldn't it be wild if KANSAS plays BYU for the title on Day 3?

:woohoo:

KUAthletics.com: Battle for Atlantis

Confirms
Winner(loser) of KU v NCSt will play winner(loser) of Dayton v Wisconsin, while
Winner(loser) of BYU v USC will play winner(loser) of Butler v Tennessee.

My dream scenario after Day 1 games...

KU W v Dayton W (retribution for last year’s loss to the Flyers)
BYU W v Tennessee W (as I want our new B12 member and Rick Barnes to do well Day 1)

KU W v BYU W (just because)

KU wins B4A

Rock Chalk, Jayhawks!

An autumn day
in the late month of November...
The Bison roam far south from their home.
Gazing in the distance, lost there in the Phog
as they try to figure out just what went wrong...
They're in The Phog...
It's another Allen Fieldhouse...

... Buh duh DUH duh DUH DUH duh duh duh duh DUH DUH DUH ... BALL NIGHT!

The Bison of North Dakota State got pummeled by #10 Arkansas this past Monday, so for a breather they visit historic Allen Fieldhouse to play the #5 Jayhawks? Hmm, hmm, hmm... gotta love the paycheck, the exposure and the chance to place in the Mecca of College Basketball. I have to believe that the biggest threat to KU's chances of winning this game is the potential for the Jayhawks to be looking ahead to their next opponent (Duke on Tuesday, Nov 15 at the Champions Classic in Indianapolis) instead of focusing on the foe at hand.

The ESPN pregame matchup predictor says KU wins 96.9% of the time.

Here's the official KU Athletics pregame write up

Here's the KANSAS Game Notes, 35 pages of fun filled facts for the ardent Jayhawk fan!

2-0 as expected!

Now go get yourself an antiemetic because the next one up is Puke in the Champions Classic in Indianapolis on Tuesday, November 15. ESPN 7:30 CT

This will be the first time I can ever remember watching Kansas play Duke without ferret face on the enemy bench.
