The Streak stays alive. What a great effort by the Hawks.

Indeed!

And yet I can’t help thinking that they had better win on Thursday or the “last home game” winning streak will be over.

Seems unfair that they have to win both for the streak to be considered 100% “continued”.

Just another crappy deal from the pandemic.

Let’s win Two, KU!

I believe the Hawks are due for a good shooting game from behind the arc. If the Hawks can combine that with the type of defense they played against Baylor they will be very tough to beat.

one more post to address the naysayers on this years team. first, regarding last nights win, dave and marcus gave us what weve come to expect from them, but we won the game because of mitch and juan. two players massively less talented than their equivalent on the other bench. in the same way we have won so many games with undersized and less talented (not to mention less recruited) players like frank, devonte, travis, brady, darnell, tyrell, landen, kevin, etc, etc. not just bench players obvi but key players on winning teams no one else wanted as much as we did. we have never been the most talented team and at least this fan loves it that way. so how shld we remember this team? i think the following will stand out as key memories of the covid jayhawks: 1) rebuilding year after national championship where we had to replace our two best players; 2) still finished strong second in best conf in the country ( and won big 12 tournament) to team that finished undefeated except for two losses to us; 3) as a three seed made a deep run to the final eight in post season; 4) as the team where all three hi character seniors returned to join three amazing recruits ( what recruiting problem!?) to make the final four the following year; 5) posted a record 3.4 gpa and set character models we wld wish for all of own our kids; 6) reduced the kentucky lead in all time wins from 16 at the beginning of the season to 2 by the end of the season so that the 21/22 team cld finally pass them for good as coach self continued to win 25-30 games a year for 10 more years. given all that, in my view, we shld all stop whining and salute this team for all that they have done to enhance the wonderful legacy that is ku basketball!
