It goes back to the '96-'97 season...and the list doesn't mean diddly, but nice represenation by KU. But I hate that Duke gets so many nods.

When you mentioned "I hate that Duke gets so many nods" It reminded me of the Film room with HCBS about the elite eight game. As he pointed out early Duke had NBA players at all 5 starting positions. It was a great job by the Hawks to win that game. I think we just have better coaching.

We had more experience. Freshman, even with NBA talent, no matter how talented don't have the experience to handle all cases thrown at them. Svi's thee point play, Devonte getting him the ball, and Svi blockout on the last play of regulation were plays coming from experience, not just talent. Yes, the Tripper , senior with experience, tried to make the last play of regulation but he was playing hero ball not team ball.
