I'm all broke up.............

If the season ended today, the ACC would make the wrong kind of history. The conference -- which dominates the NCAA tournament record book for all-time appearances, winning percentage, No. 1 seeds and Final Four teams -- would equal its lowest bid total of the modern era.

The ACC got just three teams apiece in the 1999 and 2000 tournaments. With NC State sliding out of this year's projected field over the weekend and defending champion Virginia not quite back in (team No. 69 as of this writing), the ACC is again sitting on the possibility of only three entries for the 2020 bracket.

The best line is under the picture of Roy: Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels could miss the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2010.

Could? Really? That implies that someone actually believes they can miraculously turn the season around and possibly win the ACC tournament, because that is the only way they are going anywhere. They are already two games under .500 and still have to play Duke (2x) and Louisville. ESPN has to be in meltdown mode with their favorite b-ball conference having difficulties. Carolina appears to get more coverage when they are playing like crap than the teams doing well this season.

The good news is that if you LIKE watching Roy lose, you'll have plenty of opportunities. :D

It appears that no other team in the history of the NCAA has experienced any hardship or adversity during a basketball season.....ONLY UNCheat.

“We might be the most unlucky team you’ve ever seen,” said UNC freshman guard Cole Anthony, who was wearing a bandage wrapped around his head after being hit with an elbow in the second half.

Anthony might be right.

Folks just don’t learn history anymore, even their own. All they have to do is read about the last years of Frank McGuire and the first years of his replacement, the future Traitor Smith, to more properly assess their place in the basketball universe.

Geez.

If you turned on ESPN early enough last night you got to see a major collapse that was very interesting to watch for anyone not a fan of powder blue hoops. ESPN.com: Notre Dame stages major comeback, beats North Carolina 77-76

Up 15 with 9 minutes to go on the road and losing at almost literally the last second — well, 1.8 seconds to be precise.

Now 10-16 (3-12 ACC), RW is having a bad time while Kansas continues to pull away in all-time wins (+13 so far this season). And RW is not being quiet about it.

At least he didn’t throw the kids under the bus as he did earlier this season.

At this rate, unless they win the ACC tournament they won’t have a national postseason... which will give Kansas the chance to add even more to the space between them.

I REALLY loved watching that shot fall at the buzzer. Looked like Roy took a gut punch. Pure bliss.
